INVENTING IOT SOLUTIONS TOGETHER The Smart Systems Hub - Enabling IoT, is Europe's largest one-stop shop in the field of Internet of Things (IoT). With our network of over 600 partners – including key partners such as SAP, Telekom, ZEISS Digital Innovation and GlobalFoundries – we have extensive expertise in the core IoT building blocks of software, hardware and connectivity. On direct behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), we bring innovations from one of Germany's largest microelectronics and IT clusters into industrial application. For this purpose, we provide access to reference solutions and technologies (IoT Lab) and develop concepts, prototypes and first product versions in a methodically guided co-innovation process in a maximum of three months.

As Cloud Software/Application Developer, you will play a key role in the administration, provision, management and development of cloud applications that are customized for various business applications. The applications play a key role in areas such as decentralized data exchange, data sovereignty, sustainability, supply chain monitoring, and Industry 4.0.

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Design, develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Java and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Implement best practices for containerization, orchestration and microservices architecture
- Optimize application performance, scalability and reliability for cloud environments
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and uptime
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, containerization and DevOps practices
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Completed degree in computer science, engineering or similar or extensive practical experience – or a combination of both
- Strong understanding of containerization principles and experience with Docker
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems and automated testing frameworks
- Proven experience as a software developer with expertise in Java development and good knowledge of databases
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- AI and Python knowledge is a plus
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP Cockpit is plus
- Passion for agile development methods such as SCRUM and a flair for innovation
- Good language skills in German and English
